You know almost everyday I get an email or a BBM or a tweet or a phonecall or some form of communication from someone somewhere swearing their the "next big thing." Lines such as "I'll make you a million" or "I'm the next Pac" or something of that nature flow from their mouths then they send in the music and this is what I experience:

PLEASE I repeat PLEASE dont do it to yourself it's not cool looking like this at all seriously. Get it together artist.

Fake Industry Personnel & People Over-Playing Their Parts: The Fall of Jae-Dame

It never fails and I mean NEVER, that I meet someone somewhere at sometime in this industry that is; a) either a total fraud or b)just places a level of importance on what they do (like their the head for the Center Of Disease Control). An array of people all ages will approach me, mind you they approach ME (obviously that let's me know where I stand) then subsequently; they'll sit there and ask me a myriad of questions ranging from; what do I do, who do I know and a whole plethora of things. Then as to pull rank, they start dropping a billion names and telling me how cool they are with Jay-Z. Really? #Stopit5......drink your drink and come back to reality please! The same goes for  the video chicks.Listen; just because your knees were featured in the latest artist video (not even your face), doesn't mean your important. Networking means being able to communicate with people. It's one thing to speak on what you do, to showcase your prior work and to let an individual know your plans BUT, to sit there and attempt to belittle someone because; you feel they don't have pull or be beneficial to what your doing is crazy.One thing this industry taught me; is be kind to everyone because the person serving coffee in the office - just might turn around and be your boss the next day. Now watch as I pull this fake A&R's card so sad SMH.....

Having them getting featured on Wild Out Wednesday (Sept 2009), and assisting with the creation and marketing of their single "Electric Stars"; I then set up a meeting with J/RCA Records execs to discuss their next step, and possibility of a deal. Who invented the air-conditioner?

It's hot as all hell in NYC and still no one takes the time to praise Willis Carrier the inventor of modern air conditioning see how great talent gets undermined and forgotten? On that note artist don't let your talent get wasted and under minded know your worth stop following trends and set them do us all a favor we need "You" not "Them". And "Them" meaning when an artist says the most cliche and stupid line like "I'm going to be the next Biggie or Pac." Why would you a person one of one ever want to compare your work to another persons? No it isn't a compliment you should always want your body of work to stand out from the rest be bold be daring. He who dares wins and fortune favors the bold. So be original like Willis was make something we can appreciate on hot days or cold days but above all be you. Or die nameless faceless and in someone else's shadow. Now I'm going to sit under my air conditioner.

For all these wackass people who hit me up talking about "oh I'm the hottest dude out of F**ksville" and don't wanna hear it from me that their music is WACK to the max. Imma put your music on my blog and let the music speak for itself. 

The calm before the storm

If I had to describe myself in one word it would be; "existentialist". I live how I see fit. I live by the philosophy "you can think it , you can do it". One day I got tired and got up on my own two, and changed my whole way of living and thinking. And here I am today- doing what I do. I used motivation from everything around me, negative aspects of life can drive you to the good- and thats the truth.You need to lose to appreciate the win.Like the rich kids who have had it all- they don't really appreciate what they have, they just know they have it. And the poor kids who finally get it, they appreciate it all. They know the hard work, sweat and tears to get where you wanna be.

Thats why I don't hate on anyone- especially from where I'm from. You should be proud for the people who made it out- like "BIG UP". It was just as hard for them as for you.
